Mayor Mark Kleinschmidt Proclaims May as Bike Month in Chapel Hill!

Youth cycling group Spoke n Revolutions received from the Mayor the proclamation on Monday evening that encourages everyone to bicycle as an healthier way to get around, reduce traffic congestion while cleaning up the community air during May as well as all year long!

Spoke n Revolutions represented the cycling community and challenged everyone that lives, works or plays in Chapel Hill to try cycling at least once during Bike Month. These youth and volunteer leaders are committed to cycling as a healthier way to explore the world and get around in general. In honor of what people 150 years ago did, this past summer these youth and leaders followed the trail of the Underground Railroad over 1800 miles from Alabama to New York.
