— Capital Area Transit (CAT):   Will operate on a Saturday* schedule on Monday, May 27- Memorial Day

*TTA Express Routes operated by CAT will NOT operate on Memorial Day.

*The R-LINE will NOT operate after 11pm on Memorial Day.

— DATA operating on Sunday schedule on Monday, May 27 (Memorial Day)

On Monday, May 27, Durham Area Transit Authority (DATA) and DATA ACCESS will operate on its Sunday service schedule in which hourly service is provided from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Bull City Connector will operate on its Holiday schedule in which service is provided every 25 minutes from 7:20 a.m. to 10 p.m. Due to the construction underway on Main Street, the Bull City Connector route will use a detour route. For a map, visit http://www.bullcityconnector.org. DATA’s administration office will be closed on Monday, May 27 and will reopen under its normal schedule on Tuesday, May 28

On Monday, May 27 The Bull City Connector will operate on its Holiday schedule in which service is provided every 25 minutes from 7:20 a.m. to 10 p.m. Due to the construction underway on Main Street, the Bull City Connector route will use a detour route. Chapel Hill Transit Summer Schedule

Chapel Hill Transit (CHT) is currently running a summer schedule with transit routes. The weekday CM, CW, D, J and NU routes will end earlier in the evening and the weekend U and NU routes will not operate. Safe Ride routes will not operate during the summer but will resume on Thursday, Aug. 22. Visit chtransit.org for individual schedule times.
CHT’s EZ Rider service adjusted its service hours for the summer as follows:
Weekday Service: 5:30 a.m. – 10:45 p.m.; The service area will continue to operate within the ADA mandated 3/4-mile of weekday fixed route service.
Saturday Service: 8:15 a.m. – 6:23 p.m.; The service area will continue to operate within the ADA mandated 3/4-mile of weekday fixed route service.
Sunday Service: 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; service will operate within the town limits of Chapel Hill and Carrboro (Wal-Mart and Carolina Pointe I & II will not be served) on a demand only basis. Reservations for Sunday service must be requested no later than 12 p.m. on the Friday prior to the requested Sunday service date.
CHT has also implemented schedule changes and detours due to the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) project to widen and enhance South Columbia Street between Purefoy Road and Manning Drive and other road construction projects in the southern portion of Chapel Hill and Carrboro.  For detailed schedule information, please visit www.chtransit.org or tinyurl.com/a3muvuh

Families and serious cyclists join us for the NO CHARGE 2 Part Cruiser– First part is for younger children and then the ride continues for the more seasoned cyclists! There will be banjo music, children’s events, duck racing, food, bike trivia contest AND a MOST CRAZY COSTUME CONTEST TOO… with great prizes!!! 5:30pm for fun and 6:45pm for take off!   • Go Chapel Hill – Carrboro Bike to School Day     Chapel Hill – Carrboro City Schools     Students are encouraged to walk or bike to school on Wednesday, May 8, to improve the quality of the air, experience a more fit way to arrive at school each day and to feel great as you arrive at school!
  • Come Bike With Us!     5:15 p.m., Meet at Chapel Hill Town Hall Lower Parking Lot  Learn more about the Chapel Hill Bike Plan, and meet the planners, engineers and residents who are working to develop the plan. Bike to the Future: Community Forum on Chapel Hill Bike Plan     6-9 p.m.; speakers at 7 p.m., Chapel Hill Public Library     If you’re a cycling enthusiast or you haven’t ridden a bike but want to, and you’re concerned about transportation issues, come to this forum on the Chapel Hill Bike Plan. Friday, May 10

UNC- Map My Bike to Work     11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Beach Cafe UNC’s Commuter Alternative Program (CAP) will set up tables with games, prizes, and snacks to promote the upcoming Bike to Work Week. Current bike commuters will be encouraged to map their routes and sign up as mentors for other potential bike commuters, as well as congregate with other cyclists and exchange ideas. The Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro will be invited to promote nearby cycling resources and events.

Saturday, May 11

Chapel Hill’s Bike & Bus Workshop, 8:30 a.m. – Noon, University Mall Farmer’s Market Carrboro’s Bike & Bus Workshop 8:30 – Noon Carrboro Farmer’s Market     Come and learn how to quickly and easily mount a bike onto the front of any bus in the Greater Triangle area. Take a quick tour of a Fare Free Chapel Hill Transit Bus.

Tuesday, May 14 

Carrboro Bike Breakfast Workshop     7-10 a.m., Municipal Parking Lot (Near Armadillo Grill)     Come for breakfast with other cyclists and have free bike checks from local bike shops. Enjoy the giveaways, informational handouts, cycle discussion all while enjoying biscuits from Neal’s Deli! Enter multiple drawings during the morning’s events!

Bike Shops – Free Bike Inspections (TBA)     All Day, Chapel Hill – Carrboro Bike Shoppes     All Chapel Hill – Carrboro Bicycle Shoppes are offering bike inspections all day long at no charge AND no appointment required (though you might have to wait when you arrive)!
