Carrboro will hold its 3rd Open Streets this Sunday, April 12, from 12-4 pm! This family friendly event is free for all.
Open Streets is an event where the town closes Weaver Street to cars and opens it to PEOPLE and active forms of entertainment.
There will be over 30 participating groups this year, including:
A rock-climbing wall for climbers of all ages, a class to help your child say goodbye to his/her training wheels, yoga and zumba in the streets, massage, acupuncture, crossfit and exercises, gold sprints bicycle competition, slow bike races, children’s bicycle loops, pizza tosses, coffee samples, smoothies you can make yourself in a bike-powered blender, a booth to test your ability to generate power while cycling, corn hole games, fix-a-flat demos, demos on how to put your bike on the bus, bubbles and crafts, jewelry making, helmet checks, and the list goes on . . .If you get hungry, some of the local restaurants will be offering specials during the event!
