Chapel Hill Transit

  • Chapel Hill Transit continues to provide free transit on all Chapel Hill Transit buses, and encourages people to check-out the Hillsborough 420 Route on Thursday, September  21 – Fare Free Day.  Go Chapel Hill!

GoCary

  • September 19, Kickoff – GoCary and GoTriangle staff will be at the Cary Depot, 211 N. Academy St., from 7-9 a.m. to answer questions and provide information about the transit systems, including route maps.
  • September 19, Cyclist Day ­– Free rides will be provided to GoCary passengers who travel with their bikes.
  • September 20, Seniors’ Day – Seniors registered for Door-to-Door services will receive a free round trip to the Raleigh Farmer’s Market from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sign-up sheets for the group trip and lunch will be available at the Cary Senior Center.
  • September 21, Fare Free Day – All six fixed routes and Door-to-Door Tier 1 services are fare free.
  • September 22, Driver Appreciation Day – GoCary management will select the Best Drivers of the Year for fixed route and Door-to-Door services.

GoTriangle & GoDurham.  We’ll be giving away baseball caps for anyone who fills out 5 spaces down, across or diagonal and turns the card in. Cards can be picked up at RTC and Durham Station or downloaded at gotriangle.org/trytransit.

Fare Free Day: GoTriangle & GoDurham will be fare free all day on Thursday, 9/21. This will be promoted heavily via social media and radio.

Rider Appreciation: On the same day as FARE FREE THURSDAY we are going to have teams at various locations (RTC and Durham Station minimum) handing out thank you gifts. We have tumblers to hand out to lucky passengers.

  • Tuesday Sept. 19 – Cyclist Day / Bike on bus day – demos of how to put your bike on the bus.  Bicycle checks by bike shops, other freebies and info at GoRaleigh station
  • Wednesday Sept. 20 – Seniors Day – encouraging Seniors to get a fare free GoRaleigh ID at GoRaleigh Station
  • Thursday Sept. 21 – Fare Free Day – free rides and gift bags (some locations)
