The University is in the process of selecting a new bikeshare provider and plans to announce a new service this fall with an electric-assist bike fleet.
The current UNC bikeshare program, Tar Heel Bikes, will end May 31, 2022. Tar Heel Bikes has had over 13,000 members taking more than 140,000 trips since October 2017. The University is thankful for everyone who enjoyed making Tar Heel Bikes a successful bikeshare program!
Information regarding an electric-assist bike program at the University will be shared once details are finalized.
