Join the Vets On the Move Program!
Vets On the Move is a year round program designed to offer Veterans that are transitioning back into the community all commute options relevant to the Triangle area. These options of bus, walk, roll, bicycle. carpool or telework can assist in getting Veterans to appointments, work or for other errands. Also as part of the program there is also a Buddy program available as the need might arise for someone to travel along the first couple of trips as Veterans adjust to the chosen commute option(s).
There are also special events during the year where Veterans might gather information and meet other Veterans in the area. On June 10th, a community bicycle ride occurred, to salute all Veterans. For more information email goch@townofchapelhill.org or call 919 – 969 – 7717.
